Evritania is one of the five peripheral units into which the periphery of Central Greece is divided. The capital is the city of Karpenisi.
Evritania is bordered to the west and south by the prefecture of Aetolia-Acarnania, to the north by that of Karditsa and to the east by the prefecture of Phthiotida.
