Attica is a peninsula and county in the southern end of Central Greece, to the east it is washed by the South Evian Gulf, to the south by the Saronic Gulf and to the west by the Corinthian gulf. In the southern edge of Attica situated the Cape Sounion and the ruins of the temple of Poseidon. In Attica located the capital of Greece, Athens,  as well as some important historical towns like Megara, Elefsis and Marathon.
