Halkidiki or Chalkidiki is a Peninsula of central Macedonia with an area about 4,000 sq kms. To the north it borders with the prefecture of Thessaloniki, while to the south, east and west coast with the Aegean. In the south is divided in three peninsulas: Kassandra to the west, Sithonia in the middle and the Mount Athos to the east.
Thus two gulf are formed between the three peninsulas, Kassandra gulf and Siggitikos gulf.
