Achaia is a prefecture of Peloponnese, its capital is the town of Patras. Other important  towns is the town of Aegion. Achaia has many beautiful sea resorts in the nort coasts like Psathopyrgos and Paralia Platanou. In the town Rio Achaia connects the Peloponnese with the province of Sterea Ellas with the bridge of Rio Antirio.
