Uranus

The ruler god of the heavens before his father Cronus ("time"). He was forever caressing his wife Gaea ("earth") and they had many children: The titans, Cyclops and the giants. Eventually the Titans overthrew Uranus, and his son Cronus took his place.From the blood that the mutilated Uranus bled sprang the Erinyes, and when his limb hit the sea Aphrodite was created out of the foam.
