Moirae
("fates")
Three goddesses, daughters of the Night, Nyx, or Zeus and Themis, who decided the fates of all humans: Clotho, the Spinner, Lachesis, The Lot Giver, and Atropos, The Unavoidable. Their decision could never be changed, not even by the gods. They were believed to be weavers, making the thread of each person's life. When they cut the thread, the person would die.
