Peitho
(persuasion)
Goddess of
persuasion,
Peitho was the daughter of Ate
(possibly) and sister of Tyche
or Eunomia.
She was worshipped in Athens
thanks to Theseus,
and was one of Aphrodites
maids. With Eros she had
Hygieia, with Pan
Iynx and she also protected
marriages.
The Romans called her Suada, and from her Latin name we have the word persuade.
