Sosipolis

Mysterious
hero from Elis, whose mother was the goddess Eleutho.
When Sosipolis was only a baby he was put in front of an invading army of
Arcadians. He then changed into a serpent, and the enemy was scared off.
Sosipolis was worshipped with his mother in Olympia
at the foot of the Cronus
hill. In their temple only priestesses with covered heads could enter.
Taking an oath in Sosipolis name was considered more binding than anything
else.
