who was deeply in love with Aphrodite,
but who was rejected by the goddess. He then sculptured an ivory image of
her, and went to bed with it.
When Aphrodite saw this she was so touched that she let the sculpture come
alive. So, the beautiful woman Galatea was born, and the couple had any children.
