East Macedonia and Thrace

Eastern Macedonia and Thrace is one of the thirteen regions of Greece. It is located in the northeastern part of the country and consists of three main parts, Eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the island of Samothrace.

The area is known for agriculture, livestock, and ore mining. The main cities are Kavala and Drama.

Thrace has coastal and mountainous areas, with rivers such as the Evros running through the area. The region focuses on agriculture, with significant grain and cotton production.
