Anaximenes

Nature philosopher
from Miletus (today's Turkey). He believed the primary element was air, and
that everything could be reduced to this element. Air can, according to him,
through condensation and rarefaction be transformed into water, fire and matter.
It was Anaximenes who first said "What if heaven falls".
