Parrhasius
Very famous painter in his time who belonged to the new school that tried to give the background emphasis. He worked in Ephesos and was known for his fine lines and pleasant colours. One of his best known works was a painting of the hero Theseus. See Zeuxis for an anecdote about the two painters.
