Loutraki the seaport of Glossa

loutraki-skopelosLoutraki is the port of Glossa, 28 km from Skopelos. The port is protected by the islets of Strogylos, Dasia, Paximadi and Glaronissi, which are located in front of it. Its houses are spread out on the edge of the bay, against the background of the wonderful green hills that descend to the sea in the small port. Visit the ruins of the acropolis of ancient Selinountos, 300 meters west of the village.

Parts of the wall from the 4th BC have been preserved. h. and Byzantine additions from the temple of Athena of the 5th BC. h. Also the remains of the Roman Baths, where the spring from which the community is still watered and the church of Agios Nikolaos, built on a Byzantine church of the 7th century, is located.
