The village of Marathokambos in Samos

Marathokambos, lying on the southern side of Samos, is a serene and picturesque village, often regarded as one of the island’s best-kept secrets. Drenched in tradition and blessed with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, Marathokambos offers a unique blend of history, nature, and tranquility.

To the west of Marathokampos is the Kakoperato cave, with an interior decorated with magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. For hikers there is a wonderful route from Kampos to the Monastery of Evangelistria in Kerki. The port of the area is Ormos Marathokampou, which is four kilometers from the village. It is a modern holiday resort with an endless pebbly beach.
