The village of Sikaminea in Lesvos

It is worth visiting the house of Stratis Myrivilis and the churches of Agia Fotini, who is the patron saint of the village, and of Sotira, with the wonderful wood-carved iconostasis. Also, the villages of Lepetymnos and Argenos, which are nestled in the dense olive forest.

For swimming you will go to Skala, which is 3 km from the village. There is the picturesque church of Panagia tis Gorgona, from where Stratis Myrivilis inspired his novel of the same name.
