Paros Horse riding

Horseback riding around Paros gives the opportunity for a thrilling adventure to see the island in a unique way that you will always remember. Getting you closer to nature through the mountainous inland part of the island, or cantering across a beach and splashing in the waves will certainly create an incredible experience of freedom that will make your holiday unforgettable. Paros has an excellent Riding Centre situation at Esternio, close to Naoussa:
The Kiku Riding Centre: This Riding Centre is run by a French Canadian couple who established it over 20 years ago and who have consequently gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of good trails to follow around the island. It is easy to find, situated about 1km south of Naoussa on the road to Marpissa and Drios.

The Centre is clearly signposted along the road by green horse-logo signs. Alternatively, the Centre can arrange transport to pick you up and drop you off in the centre of Naoussa. The rides are suitable for all ages and abilities, from complete novice to expert, and safety is paramount in the professional way that this Centre is organised with helmets and children’s back protectors included in the price.

The magnificent animals that the Centre has are all very well trained and there is no fear that the horse will suddenly ‘take off’ with an inexperienced rider in its saddle. The horses are not available for rent because the Centre provides set tours with an experienced Guide.

The tours are very reasonably priced and comprise a beach tour in the morning which last about 2.5 hours bringing you back before mid-day and a late afternoon tour lasting about 1.5 hours, finishing around 8pm. There are no tours during the middle of the day as the sun is too hot, both for the horses and the riders! It is important however to pre-book in advance for any of the tours. Leave behind the stresses and strains of everyday and indulge in an activity that you will cherish for a long time.
