The island of Patmos is a small Greek island in the Dodecanese. To the west is the island of Lipsi and to the south are the islands of Leros and Kalymnos. Patmos is the northernmost islands of the Dodecanese, with a population of 2,984 kilometers and an area of 34 square miles. The island of Patmos is famous for the Monastery of St. John who wrote the Apokalypse. Chora is the island's capital and main port is Skala.
