Peloponnese has some of the most famous mountains of Greece like the mount Taygetos over Sparta and many rivers. The largest city of Peloponnese is Patras in the prefecture of Achaia. The historic city of Corinth is the capital of the Peloponnesian prefecture of Korinthia and Kalamata the capital of Messinia.
