All of these children, except Rhesus, had to do with music or poetry. She was the oldest, the most respected, the most serious, the wisest and the most determined of the Muses.<\/p>\n<p><br \/>Although a virgin according to some, Calliope is treated by others as the mother of Ialemos, Apollo, or Orpheus or Linus, Hymenaeus and Comatheon.
