St. Philip
(d.c. 80)

One of the apostles, called the "confidant of Christ". He came from Bethsaida in Galilee and was well educated in law. He was also interested in the books of prophecies.

It is believed he preached in Asia Minor after the ascension. He died as a martyr, crucified upside down, at Hierapolis in Phrygia.
