Drios Paros
Drios
is another picturesque coastal resort on the south east of Paros.
The tiny seafront is charming with a good variety of tavernas
and cafes including Resalto a Blues/Jazz cafe bar.
It is peaceful and picturesque with a sand and small pebble
beach and plenty of tamarisk trees fringing the shore for shade.
It has a small harbour where fishing boats as well as tourist
boats and yachts are moored.
It is very well protected from the northern winds and the
harbour has been in use for thousands of years. North of the
village it is still possible to see the ruins of the ancient
dockyards where ships were moored throughout the winter months
by the residents of ancient Paros.
Here at the port you can also visit the tiny churches of Ag.
Nikolas and Ag. Ioannis.
At the beach northern to the settlement you may see the ruins of
the ancient dockyards, where the ancient residents of Paros kept
their ships during winter to protect or to repair them.
