Victoria, My name is Dave. I live in Liverpool, England. I was on one of your
day trips this year. I visit your site regularly it is good to have contact
with someone as enthusiastic about Greece as myself. I have been going to Greece
for holidays every year since 1980. I have seen many changes over the years
as Greece gradually was modernised. (not always for the best) Now the Drachma
is to disappear only the language remains as an individual identity. Even some
of the ancient traditions are slowly disappearing as the younger Greeks prefer
to be modern Europeans. I myself have studied the modern Greek Language and
find that it appreciated by the Greek people who are surprised and delighted
that an English person has taken time to study their language. I also like joining
in the Greek dancing. I have already booked to go to Greece next year. At the
time of writing it a bright but very cold English Autumn day. Hello Victoria, We were on the trip you took on the 'Island Hopping' trip in Skiathos last week....alas now we are home and missing it dreadfully!! You tour around the old part of Skopelos Town was wonderful and we enjoyed your stories and information so much. I am enclosing a photo which I took whilst on that tour....you will recognise where it is. I have more pictures from that day and the holiday if you would like to see a few, and if you wanted to use any for your site I wouldnt mind a bit!! I am also so familiar with Sweden after visiting many times..I have a very good friend in Karlstad. I hope to hear from you. I visited Skiathos on the 28th September this year with Solo's holidays and we went on this tour on Sunday 30th September. Our Solo's tour guide was L P who you might remember. I just wanted to say that you made a charming host for the day and this excursion was a great day out. Whilst over there, I wanted to find out more details about buying property in Skiathos as I would very much like to move there one day and what the work situation is like. I don't know if you can offer any advice on the subject. In the meantime, hope you are well and enjoying life & maybe see you next year.
