Corfu beaches

Corfu has many wonderful beaches, each one comprised of a magic combination of green landscape, aquamarine waters and white sands. This feast of colours and textures makes the beaches of Corfu one of the best in Greece. Most of them have been awarded the Blue Flag and are well organised with all kinds of facilities, water sport activities, diving, windsurfing and water skiing. Below is a list of some of the most popular beaches in Corfu.

Dassia Beach is located in the tourist resort of Dassia, and is a sandy and well organised beach with many facilities in the area. Here you will also find many good hotels as well as a campsite. Very close to Dassia is Dafnila Beach, which is also a well organised, sandy beach.

Saint George’s Beach, situated 20 miles south east of Corfu Town, is close to the village of Argyrades. This village has a unique architecture dating from the middle Ages during the times of the Venetian rule. In the area you will find also the beaches of Malta and Gardenos.
Close to Corfu Town is the beach of Alyki. The area is a highly developed tourist resort with many hotels and all kinds of tourist businesses and facilities.

The beach of Agios Gordios is one of the most famous in Corfu. Situated on the popular holiday resort of Agios Gordios with its wonderful landscape and attractions.
Gouvia Beach is located in the popular holiday resort of Gouvia, 6 miles north of Corfu Town. The beach is organised with all kinds of water sport facilities, yacht marinas, restaurants, bars and cafes.

Kassiopi Beach, on the north side of the island, has a nice sandy beach and, close by, are the equally attractive beaches of Avlaki and Kalamionas.
In one of the most popular resorts of Corfu, Paleokastritsa, you will find many wonderful and well organised beaches.

Moraitika Beach is located close to Messongi, 15 miles from Corfu Town. The area of Nisaki, north of the capital, has many wonderful beaches which are ideal for swimming and offers several types of water sports.
In the north-west and close to the tourist resort of Pelekas, is located the beach of Glyfada. This is a wonderful area of lush vegetation and pine forests.

In the area of Pyrgi, 10 miles to the north of Corfu Town, is the popular Golden Mile Beach. As the name suggests it is a huge, wide beach with golden sand and crystal clear blue waters.
Near to Acharavi, you will find many nice beaches but, to name just a few, the beaches of Agios Stefanos, Almyros, Livadakia are well worth visiting.
The famous Canal D’Amour beach is located in the popular tourist resort of Sidari, 20 miles north of Corfu Town.
